We at Springer Rescue take in a lot of dogs, and most of them are rehomed very quickly, but there are some who are in kennels for far too long. At the moment we have two dogs that have been in kennels waiting for the right home for many months now.

Jake
A black and white 8 year old. When Jake was first handed over to springer rescue, we noticed he had a lump on his neck and also one on his side. Jake was taken to the vets to have the lumps removed. They were then sent away to be tested. Unfortunately, the results were not good, the growths showed cancerous cells. They vet said hopefully the cancer would not reoccur and Jake would lead a full and normal life. But with this problem in the background, Jake is somewhat difficult to rehome.

He is a very strong willed boy and very well behaved, He doesn't particularly like being told to do something he doesn't want to do!

Eric
A liver and white 8 year old, Eric is a very fit and very big boy. Very strong and again, very strong willed, he seems to attach himself to one person and focus on them completely. Basically, he has a jealous nature. He again is well behaved and once he gets to know you he is very affecionate.

Ideally, he would be best suited to a one person family or a couple who could give him all the attention he needs.
